Mature Content?!

Vote people, vote!!!

It really sucks!!!!

Let's read some people's opinion from DA about this shame:

"whats happened with the mature content filter?
Why dont we have a choice with that anymore ?
Is there anyway it can change back?
Its just that so many people will now not be able to view a majority of the art here on DA.
It seems to limit people's view on art."

"think that was a bit out of line....not every piece here on DA with a mature content warning is porn."

have to say, I'm incredibly annoyed at the mandatory mature content filter. I've been coming to DA since I was 14, and I turned off the filter then because I was pretty sure I could handle whatever the DA community could hand out and get past the censors with.

Especially because a lot of the things get matured just because the artist in question is being especially discreet. I'm not going to be able to see about half of my favorites for a year and a half, because artistic nudes are too 'mature' for my fragile constitution."

"I find it especially aggravating that the site never even formally addressed it. They just slipped it under the table and expected no one to notice."

"That's totally unfair"

"But I still hate the permanent Maturity filter. I love viewing comic strips on devART, but a few have the Mature Filter on."

"one level of mandatory mature filter sux."

"I am really annoyed by the mandatory mature filter. :pissedoff:
I've been on dA over a year, I turned the filter off when I first came on because I know what offends me and what doesn't, and I don't think it's at all fair to override that.

And I will say this, too. A lot of things are mature content filtered that are very much borderline. People filter them because they know PEOPLE WHO WANT TO SEE THEM CAN TURN THE FILTER OFF. That is how it should stay. I have things in my gallery that are mature content filtered - not because they are incredibly explicit, but because they are yaoi and quite sexual and I know I have watchers who don't want to see that. It's courtesy. But now me, and a lot of other artists, I'm sure, are not going to filter borderline stuff that isn't strictly speaking mature content, because then people who want to see it won't be able to.

So all this is going to achieve is to put more art out there to offend he easily-offended, and infuriate those of us who want to see it.
I am 16 years old. I am old enough, where I live, to HAVE sex if I want it. I do not see why I shouldn't be allowed to look at pictures of sex. 16 and 17 year-olds are perfectly capable of deciding if they want to see sex or not. Hell, so are plenty of 14 and 15-year-olds.

And gore...the level of gore you'd put a mature filter on you get in certificate-15 films. Three more years than that before you can see it on dA? It's ridiculous."

"I turn 18 in six months and i can't see quite a lot of my favorites now, or posts from people i watch because of the mandatory mature filter.

so that'll be six months of unappreciated art.

it's really upsetting, and i can see where the filter is coming from, but i think a disclaimer in the terms and agreements would work much better for the community."

"'m turning seventeen in several months, but pics that I draw myself need a mature rating - what, because I'm not 18, I'm not capable of creating art that needs a warning? Nor am I allowed to chose what I want to see?"

"Catch-22 isn't it? We do our best to put mature contents on something that is tastefully nude or contains a bit of gore, and then parts of our gallery aren't even available to ourselves anymore. Very fair."

"There are no words for how incensed this new censorship makes me. If a person consents, no matter their age, they should have a right to view mature art. It's their choice, hence their mistake.

Words do not exist for how irate I am, though I'm sure my opinion is of little consequence to you."

"I, too, agree that any person, regardless of age, should be able to make their own decision to view mature content or not. When I logged on today, I was sadly disappointed to find I am no longer able to view some of my favorite deviants' works and appreciate them as art."

"The Mature Content Filter REALLY annoys me... I'm 17, I HAD sex, and i'm watching my nude body every day, so why can't I see deviations with nudity? IMHO art is NOT porn, and as I noticed every deviation that includes porn is deleted so what's the matter?
In my county having sex IS legal from the age of 15. So I should be free to choose whether I'd like to watch nudity or not.
I hope you're going to do something about it, 'cause I don't want to leave this site. I'm strongly interested in pin-up stuff = stuff I can't get with Mature Content Filter on."

Devaints don't want Mature Filter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let us have our freedome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wait... I would like to come up with new pics! 'Cause I wasn't too active recently and I must change it ;)

Oh, and hell, yeah, on Saturday I argued again with somebody, who was important for me once. I'm a harpy, I kow that, but ... nevermind. I'm ok now, and I don't care - we will never be together again, so why should I be kind to him, if he's not kind to me either?
About the two pictures which I uploaded today:
Umm, Saturday night's "fight" made a big impression on me and I knew I must make those pictures (they've been shot recently, but I had to cut them etc.) and found some good lyrics for them.
So let's watch them and love them, folks! ;)

Yeah-yeah-yeah! :D
So, today afternoon I was the model of . We took photographs for 3 hours (about 210 pics!)...
The bad news is that I must retouch several of my photos, so I don't think I could make any artwork this weekend :(
But maybe a new ID would be a good idea - I'll make one if I have some time - or an artwork with me... Ehhh, I'll think about it  :)
And of course I will publish some photographs to the scraps, there you can see them ;)

:rose:blackrose::rose:

I've uploaded them! I've chosen the best 12. They're here:

Backgrounds :S

Oh, I'm freaked out... I hate doing backgrounds! - Maybe because I can't do good ones... I'm hating all that work with the background - I like working on the main theme, but when it comes to create a "world" around the character I get confused.
I should "learn" how to do good background, but I don't know how can a person learn it... There are several tutorials how to blend & airbrush the characters etc... But there aren't anything about backgrounds... What can be a good background?Do a little blur on it or not? How to get a complex background with all those little details - how to mix it from the stock photos? What about composition & perspective?
Oh.. It's so much more difficult than doing the models...

So everyone has weaknesses and that's mine --- I have much more, but this is which annoys me the most. (Hair is the other thing, but I'm working on it - there are tutorials about how to make it well; why aren't there any about backgrounds? I'm :(.)

I'm home again!!!!
